Ginger Bay Salon & Spa, St. Louis' premier Aveda salon and spa is looking for talented individuals to join our team of stylists. Simply put, we want the best! Technical Interviews for Stylists are currently being scheduled. Applicants should review basic qualifications for the position (below) and the sample training schedule prior to attending the technical interview.
Applicants will be asked to bring a person on whom they will demonstrate a haircut. Applicants will also be asked to demonstrate color application technique on a mannequin head (provided by Ginger Bay). Please come prepared to show us your best work and equipped with all the necessary tools to perform a haircut (shears, combs, clips, blowdryer, styling tools) and color application (foiling comb, clips). All product/color/towels/capes will be provided by Ginger Bay.

Sunday, June 22nd 4:30pm - 7:30pm

Basic Qualifications – Stylist
1) MO cosmetology license as of July 1, 2014
2) Available to work flexible schedule of days, nights and weekends
3) Available to work full time schedule of 40 hours per week
4) Available to attend a one-year (52-consecutive weeks) paid training program beginning July 1st, 2014
Sample Training Outline
Phase 1 (36 weeks): Training 5 days/week
Week 1: Orientation Week 2-4: Style Training - models needed
Aveda Product Knowledge
Week 5-16: Cutting - models needed
Week 17-29: Color Training - models needed
Week 30 - 36: Nail Training (Mani and Pedi) - models needed
Phase 2 (11 weeks): Training 2 days/week; On Floor 3 days/week
Week 37-43 Up-style Training - models needed
Aveda Product Knowledge
Week 44-47: Adanced Color Training - models needed
Phase 3 (5 weeks): Training 1 day/week; On Floor 4 days/week
Week 48-51: Advanced Cuting/Nail Training models needed
Week 52: Graduation
